20/20 recently aired an episode about the case. The producers used heavy-handed tactics to try to get family members to go on camera. These tactics ultimately alienated the victim’s family, law enforcement, and several of Andrea’s friends. As a result, the episode was rather one-sided, centered around the perspective of Chris Johnson. The episode propagated a myth that some of Andrea’s friends and family have referred to as “the big lie”.
